How mobile are our children?

Children and young people in Germany do not get enough exercise and this has consequences for their physical performance. A long-term study by the Robert Koch Institute called KiGGS analysed the health of children and young people in Germany on a large scale. The results are relevant, but provide little insight into the aspect of mobility. An ongoing research project at the Technical University of Munich aims to close this research gap.
