As part of a project to promote health in the workplace, the Training island® in the Merck company mobee® fit Mobility measurement.
The project. Over the course of the pilot project, a total of 301 employees were visited at work and enthused by the health programme. The pilot project was scientifically supported by experts from the Institute for Occupational Health Counselling (IFBG).
The BGM pilot project inspired 99% of the participants to continue.
At the start of the project, the Training Island® An initial diagnosis (T1) was carried out with each participant. A medical history was taken to obtain potentially relevant health information and various diagnostic procedures were used.
The mobility measurement with mobee® fit took place at the beginning and end of an 11-week pilot project. During these 11 weeks, the participants trained twice a week for 12 minutes with a personal trainer.
After 11 weeks, significant changes could already be determined in the health sector. The Mobility improved by 22 %.

Merck is not only concerned about the health of its customers, but also that of its own employees. In this context, Merck initiated a pilot project for outreach health promotion. At the Group headquarters in Darmstadt, employees were given the opportunity to have their individual movement patterns recorded on site in order to recognise functional movement restrictions and muscular imbalances and reduce the associated pain.
