High Intensity Resistance Exercise Training (HIT) improves sarcopenia and osteoporosis parameters even in seniors

Fitter older man shows success in sport - physical fitness is achievable at any age.

The randomised controlled Franconian Osteo- and Sarcopenia Study FrOST (2022) at the University of Erlangen was able to show, using male subjects with osteosarcopenia aged 72 and over, that 18 months of High Intensity Resistance Exercise Training (HIT) on modern strength training equipment under guidance and supervision also achieves significant training effects in this age group and contributes to the improvement of sarcopenia and bone density.

You can train your muscles at any age.

Consistently supervised, competently instructed and carefully structured HIT-KT with modern strength equipment can be regarded as a safe, attractive, time-saving and effective training method for improving bone density in a group of independently living older men with osteosarcopenia.

The mobee® 360 platform offers a professional screening of your state of health. In the 60-94 age group, you can use mobee® care and its numerous motor skills tests for strength, endurance, coordination and mobility to determine the fitness level of your patient or client and use this as the basis for creating an optimal training plan.
